The BulTreeBank Research Group is an interdisciplinary team part of the Linguistic Modelling Lab at the Institute for Information and Communication Technologies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The team started working in different fields of Linguistics and Computational Linguistics in 2001, when its core memebers Kiril Simov and Petya Osenova started working together as members of the successful BulTreeBank project, which also gave the name of the research group. The other members of the team through the years have been promising young scientists and PhD students from the fields of Linguistics, Computational Linguistics and Computer Science.

The primary source of funding for the research group are international (mostly European) research projects. In their context the BulTreeBank team has cooperated with many partners both major universities and companies from the industry.
